Wires with polyvinylchloride insulationin varnished braiding for on-board networks

DESIGNATION

Wires are designed for hardwiringof electrical network (including aviation equipmenthardwiring) with rated voltage up to 250 V and up to 2000 Hz frequency or direct-current voltage up to 500 V at temperatures from -50 °С up to +70 °С.

ARRANGEMENT

CONDUCTOR:tinnedcopper, stranded.

INSULATION:PVC compound forБПВЛ, БПВЛЭwires;

fire-resistant PVC compound for БПВЛнг(С), БПВЛЭнг(С) wires.

BRAIDING:cotton yarn and synthetic yarn in 1:1 ratio. Braiding coverageis not less than 90%. Over the insulation the БПВЛ andБПВЛЭ wires are braided with cotton yarn, synthetic yarn or folded cotton and synthetic yarn. БПВЛнг(С) andБПВЛЭнг(С) wires are braided with synthetic yarn.

SHIELDING:one or several insulated and braided conductors of БПВЛЭ and БПВЛЭнг(С) are shielded with copper wires with a diameter from 0.12 to 0.26 mm. Shielding is tinned with tin solder or tin-lead solder with not less than 61%tin content.

Shielding area coverage is not less than 70%.

CONDUCTOR AREA, mm²:from 0.35 to 120.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Electrical insulation resistance for a length of 1 km at a temperature of 20°С:

- not less than 2000 МΩ for wires with conductor area up to 2.5 mm2inclusively,

- 100 МΩ for wires with conductor area from 4.0 mm2and above.

Wires are operated in shock and vibration conditions and comply withfolding, abrasion and pressing resistance requirements. They are resistant to solar radiation, atmospheric condensate,static dust,mold,exposure to gasoline, hydraulic fluid, kerosene, mineral oil, salt water and fire.The varnished wirebraiding is resistant to the effects of lubricating oils and diesel fuel.

Factory wire length is not less than 15 m.

Wires'operational life is not less than 17.5 years.
